The
demo version of SailFast is free and may be run without
registration or activation. Some features are disabled.
These will be noted when you open and run the program.
Installation
IMPORTANT: If you have
a demo or previous version for SailFast installed
on your PC,
if must first be uninstalled using Windows Control
Panel Add/Remove Programs. If not the install
will fail. SailFast
2005, an Excel version, does not need to be uninstalled.
The downloaded file version is a single “zipped” 60
Mbyte file named SailFast2008Demo verX.X.X.zip. This file should
be saved to the PC you intend to run the program on. Save or copy
the file to a folder
of your
choice.
Next unzip the file extracting all zipped files to the
same or another folder. The extracted files are:
SailFastInstaller.msi
setup.exe.
readme.txt
SailFast 2008 User Manual ver X.X.X.pdf
The readme file contains installation instructions.The User Manual also has
installation instructions, including typical screenshots.
Note: If WinZip is installed on your computer, double clicking the .zip file
should start the unzipping/extracting process. If you do not have WinZip, free
trial downloads are available at www.winzip.com.
To complete the
installation double click and run Setup.exe. This will
begin a typical Windows program installer. Unless you override
it during the installation, the application program is
installed at C:\ProgramFiles\Sailfast, and user folders
and files are created at MyDocuments\Sailfast, (Documents\Sailfast
in Vista).
To start SailFast use the shortcut installed on your desktop or access the
program from Start\Programs menu. A copy of the user manual in .pdf format
is located at C:\ProgramFiles\Sailfast unless you installed the program elsewhere.
The user manual pdf may be accessed in a number of ways:
• Included in one of the zipped install files
• Copy located in C:\ProgramFiles\Sailfast unless you
installed the program elsewhere.
• A shortcut to the User Manual is in the Start\Programs\SailFast
2008 menu.
• From the Help menu in the SailFast program.
